If I had it my way, I’d spend all day in the woods. As a kid I combed the rivers of Morgan Hill for poppy jasper with my friends and protect those memories with all of my heart. I left home when I was young and found my first job doing hardwood floors. It was rough to say the least, but eventually my fingers and sandpaper would became friends. Later on in high school my buddy’s dad had a painting company. He had seen some of my artwork, knew I had jobsite experience and thus began my many years working for a painting contractor. 

Luckily my art had gotten me a scholarship to the late San Francisco Art Institute, once home to legends like Ansel Adams, Gutzon Borglum, Kehinde Wiley, Ed Hardy... I could go on forever. My attention was on fine art, design and technology with some of the most rebellious people I have ever met in my life. I continued my education abroad at the Nuova Academia di Belle Arti in Milan Italy. I focused on materials, product design, interior design and architectural design.

Today, I run a small, purpose-driven business that takes on a few major projects a year. This model allows me to focus on meaningful work while making space to give back. When I’m not on a job site, my dog Cirilla and I volunteer for Search and Rescue and I teach art to kids in my community.

For me, it’s not just about building great spaces, I’m an artist at heart, using craftsmanship to create beauty, offer function, and serve something greater than myself.
